Prenatal Yoga Classes
With other expectant mothers, learn to relax, ease discomforts, and energize

These classes are designed to help you:

Yoga exercises and breathing techniques can ease the course of your pregnancy, labor and delivery. The conditioning that yoga gives also allows you to recover quickly after the delivery.

The exercises are safe and gentle. Classes are small to allow maximum individual attention. For the greatest benefit, begin your yoga program early in your pregnancy . . . . for you and your baby.


THIS CLASS IS UNIQUE!

The typical prenatal yoga class just adapts yoga class postures for the pregnant woman. The prenatal yoga classes offered by Stress Management Resources are much more than that!

In addition to yoga, every class has discussions about pregnancy issues personalized for your particular needs, if you wish that.

Each class includes a birth story from a woman who previously took the class so you become familiar with a whole range of labor & birth experiences. You also have time to get to know and learn from others in the class as well as the instructor.

In addition, you learn breathing techniques and postures which help during labor and yoga poses which can help relieve the discomforts of pregnancy.

These classes are a time to relax and enjoy yourself, learn about pregnancy and labor, meet other pregnant women, bond with your growing baby, and prepare for birth. They are much more than a simple yoga class; they are a holistic prenatal yoga experience which every participant loves. You will too!


Class Schedule

Tuesday  6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
Saturday  10:30 a.m. - Noon
Classes are taught assuming new students are in each class, so you may start these classes at any time during the series.
Simply come 15 minutes early to your first class.

A series is offered to give a price discount to those who pay in advance. See the registration form for the dates of the next series. We encourage you to begin your prenatal yoga classes now (rather than wait for the start of the next series) so that you can begin experiencing the physical and emotional benefits right away.


Class Location

NORTHWEST UNITARIAN UNIVERSALIST CONGREGATION
1025 Mt. Vernon Hwy, Buckhead/Sandy Springs
Just inside I-285 off Northside Dr (Exit 22)
(Exit 22 is the 1st exit east of I-75 or the 3nd exit west of GA 400)
Turn onto church driveway & drive through the woods.
Classes are held in the smaller building.

Prenatal Fees

Series Classes (payable in advance):  $14/class (1 class/week) or $12/class (2 classes/week)
Single Class:  $16

Total fee will vary with the length of the series.

If you pay up front, you are eligible for a discounted series. See the registration form for the dates of the upcoming series.
You may purchase the one class/week series (usually 8 classes) at any time during the series, but you must use all your classes before the series ends; classes may not be carried over to another series. We will pro-rate the two class/week series (usually 16 classes) if you enroll during the first half of the series.

INSTRUCTOR

Ella Johannaber has practiced and taught yoga for most of her adult life and has been teaching prenatal yoga for five years. She has an easy, gentle style with a focus on using the breath -- a critical skill for relaxation which is so necessary for a smooth and comfortable birth. Ella's classes have a lovely meditative quality which is particularly nurturing for prenatal moms. Ella is a certified childbirth educator and also works as a labor doula.
